AUSCULTATION BRASS

The Auscultation Brass was formed in 1985 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and consists of a variety of physicians from various specialties. Even though the doctors chose the field of medicine as a career, music has always played a large part of their lives. With a strong desire to keep playing, the all-physicians brass practices weekly and performs numerous concerts yearly for various charities/benefits, retirement communities, local churches, and medical events.

Over the years, the group has accumulated a large repertoire of classical, jazz, and popular brass ensemble music that has provided hours of entertainment within our community and beyond.

The group has also funded the "Auscultation Brass" scholarship through the Pennsylvania Academy of Music. While we admit that practicing medicine encompasses more of our lives than practicing music, our performances are entertaining and also include many interesting medical/musical commentary that is sure to keep you enjoying every moment!
